Stem Mastering
Stem mastering is available as a more precise mastering option for projects that require selective intervention before release. The process is controlled, mastering-led, and intended for records that benefit from deeper tonal and dynamic refinement without moving fully back into a mixing workflow.
Stem mastering focus areas
- Selective shaping of tone, impact, and movement by stem group
- Improved low-end definition and more stable vocal relationships
- Greater control over density, depth, and translation before final print
- The same release-ready delivery standards used for stereo mastering
When to request stem mastering
Choose stem mastering when a mix is close, but certain elements still need more focused control than stereo processing can provide on its own.
If the mix is already cohesive and only needs final polish, stereo mastering is generally the right path. If larger mix decisions are still unresolved, mixing should come first.
